New York, NY (CNN) — Agape Wedding Planning Academy is going to open a location in New Orleans, New Orleans-area officials said Wednesday.
The New Orleans Times-Picayune reported that the academy plans to open on the corner of Loyola and St. Claude streets in the Mid-City neighborhood.
Agape was founded by former Miss America and model Jodi Allen.
Agape Academy will offer free classes and workshops on planning for weddings and other celebrations, according to the newspaper.
The academy also has an affiliate in Austin, Texas, and is in the process of launching in Las Vegas.
“We have an open enrollment program,” said Karen Jones, director of communications for Agape Academy.
“It is a nonprofit that is open to anyone, and they are all welcome.”
The academy will offer workshops on wedding planning, planning a wedding, wedding planning for babies, and wedding planning at home.
Agaped Academy is currently working on a book of free workshops, and it is looking to expand, said Jones.
Agapes goal is to provide a professional training to anyone who wants to make their wedding planning a success.
“You don’t need to be a professional wedding planner to have fun,” Jones said.
AgAPE Academy has over 2,000 members and is currently accepting applicants, according the newspaper, which is based in Austin.
